Alternative Fairytale - Work Diary.

Work Diary

In today's photograph session, I decided to bring in an alternative looking model for a photoshoot. I decided that once I took many simple photo's of her, I would edit those photo's to make her look mystical and fairytale like. The positive highlight of this photo-shoot, was the appearance of the model made it extremely easy to photoshop into her into looking surreal, due to her outfit looking realistic appearance with the actual photoshop style. The negative factor of this shoot, was that the model's poses but also my camera shots can be repetitive throughout, limiting me down to what I can actually use and edit.

My two selected photographs:

In this photograph we can see an extreme close up shot of the models face as her fingers hover over the chin. Her eyes are also shown to be staring into the camera lens as her eyes are different colours, her skin is blue and her nose is shown to have a piercing through the middle. The positive point of this photograph is the eyes and the edits made around them, this is a positive factor becuase by having them different colours whilst also placing glitter around them, all the attention is focused upon the actual eyes and facial tattoo. I believe that this photograph does not have a negative factor to reveal. An improvement I would make to this photograph, would be to lighten the colour of the skin more.

In this photograph we can see the female model with a smaller face and extremely huge eyes which are both different colours. Her hair is also 'cartoon' like and her pendant is shown to glow a little with a red colour. The positive points of this photograph is the facial structure, this is a positive factor because by making her face smaller, the bigger eyes look more realistic in the photograph. The negative factor of this photograph is by using the lens flare tool, the flare is shown hugely against the models face, this is a negative factor because the attention is then focused onto the mistake. As an improvement to this photograph, I would like to use the eraser tool to remove the lens flare from the face and hair.

Further developments:
For my further development, I would like to take the bottom photograph and cut it into small squares, after cutting these into squares, I will create it into a collage to keep the fairytale look.
